Single Core Cable
What is a single core cable ?
As the name suggests, single core cable has a single conductor that is constructed with aluminum or copper insulation, coated in a durable and flame resistant PVC sheath. Although these cables have a single conductor, their thickness and gauge can vary. If the diameter of the cable is large, the flexibility achieved from it will be less.
Single core cables can be solid or stranded. The solid ones have a thick diameter and offer good rigidity accompanied with toughness. The stranded single core cables offer better flexibility than solid construction.
Single core cables are fine and flexible cables designed for the internal wiring of devices.
The Applications of Single Core Cable
Single core cables are extensively used for domestic purposes such as household electrical appliances. They are used for wiring that is responsible for the transfer of electricity in gadgets, computers, and control panels.
