Profibus PA Long Distance is used for especially long transmission distances in process networks. It uses a larger conductor cross-sectionto satisfy the attenuation requirements. The colour blue identifies it as suitable for use in potentially explosive areas (and ATEX/Class II, EX-i/EN60079-14). For other applications, the colour black is usually selected.
